Instructors

Mary Hoddy directs Staff Education and Training at UW-Madison's Wisconsin Union. She develops and facilitates programs in workplace communication, coaching, management, appreciative inquiry, plus training, learning and workshop design for the Union and UW. She has a M.S. in Continuing and Vocational Education from UW-Madison and is a Certified Coach through the American Society of Training and Development. She enjoys coaching best while walking on UW's Lakeshore Path!

Shoko Miyagi is the Training Officer for the Division of Facilities Planning and Management at UW-Madison. She develops and facilitates skill-based training that focuses on communicating effectively within and across work groups. She holds a M.A. in Applied English Linguistics from UW-Madison. She co-facilitates the Sometimes and Aspiring Supervisors Series at UW with Mary Hoddy.

Mary Kay Reinemann, Integral Communication, www.intregralcommunication.org, facilitates workshops in conscious communication based on Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication. She is a former teacher who has been facilitating workshops and practice groups since 2007 and is a founding member of Madison-Area NVC, Madison Circles (which offer Restorative Circles based on the work of Dominic Barter) and the Alliance for Compassionate Justice.
