Currently the program employs twelve individuals which include ten people with disabilities in the Rest Area Maintenance (RAM) Program. As a RAM service provider, Indianhead is faced with some of the challenges that most feel when the economy is not strong. It is also a challenge to keep up with the latest changes with technology as it pertains to cleaning and maintenance services. Indianhead wants to keep abreast of the ever changing advances that are made to keep the public and the crew happy and safe.

The crew LOVES the atmosphere of meeting new people daily. Travelers often comment on their work and tell them how much they appreciate the good job they are doing. Traveler feedback is very rewarding to the crew.

Having the RAM Program as part of the Indianhead family has been a win-win situation. Not only are the people working at the rest areas a constant reminder of what work exists outside of the workshop, but it gives many of them a goal to aim for. It has also given Indianhead the chance to have another layer of training for those employees who are about to be competitively placed in the community.
