Membership Info - Rehabilitation For Wisconsin, Inc.

RFW Membership Levels

Rehabilitation For Wisconsin, Inc. (RFW) is a statewide nonprofit association of more than 50 organizations. RFW members provide services that address the vocational, residential and community support needs of people with disabilities.

RFW members may also include individuals, government agencies, educational institutions, other non-profits, and students with an interest in improving the lives of people with disabilities in Wisconsin.

Corporate Member

A Corporate Member shall be an organization which has the primary purpose of directly providing vocational training, job training, employment services, independent living, residential and community assistance, advocacy support and/or other rehabilitation / community support services to persons with disabilities, as follows:

(a) a not-for-profit organization duly qualified under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or any successor or replacement law and authorized to do business in the State of Wisconsin or

(b) an entity of federal, state or local government or

(c) a for profit business authorized by the State of Wisconsin to provide human services

Some of the Membership Benefits:

Corporate members of RFW are entitled to all membership benefits including but not limited to the following:

  1. RFW Group Purchasing Opportunities
  2. Professional Development Seminars (PDS Trainings & Sponsor Opportunities)
  3. Wage & Salary survey results (if organization responded to survey)
  4. Long-term financing program
  5. Eligible to serve on the RFW Board and have voting privileges
  6. Encouraged to serve on various RFW committees and work groups
  7. Access to RFW The Loop E-Newsletter, Member’s Only area of website, and RFWeTALK

Annual Dues:

Annual dues are calculated based on the number of Full Time Employees (F.T.E.) and ranges between $200 for small organizations to $5500 for organizations with over 61 employees.

Professional Member

A Professional Member shall be an individual interested in the goals and objectives of RFW who is working for an organization that does not have the primary purpose of serving individuals with disabilities in an organization that has been determined by the Board as not eligible for Corporate Membership. The membership services to which Professional Members are entitled shall be limited to those determined by the Board and may be restricted according to 501(c).

  5. Encouraged to serve on various RFW committees and work groups
  6. Access to RFW's The Loop E-Newsletter

Professional Members are not eligible to serve on the RFW Board, nor do they have voting privileges.

Student Member

A Student Member shall be an individual interested in the goals and objectives of RFW who is enrolled in an accredited college or university in at least 50% of a normal, full-time course of study related to providing vocational training, job training, employment services, independent living, residential and community assistance, advocacy support and/or other rehabilitation / community support services to persons with disabilities. The membership services to which Student Members are entitled shall be limited to those determined by the Board and may be restricted according to 501(c).
